Host families:
All our hosts are very keen to meet new people from different cultures, religions and mindsets. The most enriching part of it is the cultural exchange. Both young families with children and retired couples who have married children are particularly willing to host young people, since they still feel the need to look after someone... Students will have the opportunity to practice Spanish, immerse in the Latin American culture, share regional home made meals, conversations and experiences with locals, in a relaxed and homely atmosphere.

According to the group requirements, interests and background La Montaña can provide:
Meeting in small groups led by highly qualified instructors who specialize in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, all courses focus on the development of communication skills and emphasize oral proficiency. At la Montaña, students receive intensive language and cultural experiences including the number of hours of instruction required by the group as well as activities that offer opportunities to interact with native speakers and to learn about the local culture.
City and museum tours, trips to neighboring towns, group dinners, dance lessons, cooking classes, and travel to cultural and historical sites in the region are just some of the extracurricular activities available to highlight specific cultural aspects and help students experience the cultural surrounding of the language they are learning. Students are encouraged to live with a local host family in order to interact with native speakers and to learn the culture and traditions first hand.
