Study Abroad

These courses are designed for students at any level of Spanish learning. The courses will teach students how to speak Spanish through class work and immersion in South American culture. Studying here will provide students with the ability to build their Spanish speaking skills both socially and professionally through a variety of activities.

The courses provide a cultural and social framework for learning Spanish in Argentina. It provides students with the ability to learn and or improve their Spanish quickly while learning in small class sizes. Thus, providing students the ability to work directly with their teachers and make friends with their classmates in a international and multicultural setting.

Intensive Beginner

Initial introduction to the Spanish language through reading, writing, and oral communication. Students will begin to develop Spanish vocabularies, understanding of Spanish grammatical concepts, and understanding of Spanish syntax.

Course Objectives

  1. Practice and comprehension of Spanish, both written and oral.
  2. Understanding of Spanish grammatical concepts.
  3. Requirement of substantial vocabulary with idiomatic language, as well as development and initial understanding of more complex syntax.

Intensive Intermediate

This course is designed to further develop students’ overall language proficiency and cultural knowledge. Focus lies on advancing reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills. This course also focuses on continued studies in Argentine current events, cultural, historical and social issues.

Course Objectives

  1. To improve students’ comprehension of Spanish, reading, listening, speaking and writing.
  2. To teach students’ grammatical complexities and intense oral practice with continued studies of the culture.

Intensive Intermediate-Advanced

This course is intended for students with a solid working knowledge of the Spanish language. Study is oriented towards the development of reading, composition, grammatical complexities, and oral practice. Additionally, students will continue to dive deeply into study of Argentine culture.

Course Objectives

  1. Continued development of written and oral language, further development of Spanish vocabulary, and understanding of complex grammatical concepts.
  2. Development of Spanish conversational skills. Conversational topics occupy a diverse range such as business, ethics, politics, and current events.
  3. Further understanding of Argentine culture, political structure, and history.

Intensive Advanced

This course is intended to help reinforce students’ understanding of the complexities of Spanish. Focus lies on mastering reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills. Students will be able to discuss and understand complex ideas with little to no mistakes.

Course Objectives

  1. Students will master comprehension of Spanish, reading, listening, speaking and writing.
  2. Students will master Spanish grammar with complex understanding of Argentine culture.
